Supporting the Community

Congratulations to Grant Hodgson who recently received a certificate acknowledging 25 years of working as a solicitor. Grant has spent a considerable amount of this time as an accredited specialist in Family Law and is an integral member of our Family Law team.

Marriott Oliver has continued its fervent commitment to community support. Directors Carolyn Hagedoorn and Anne Brown have been involved in several pro bono presentations for various community groups to raise the awareness of the importance of estate planning to prevent difficulties and family conflict in the future.

Grant Hodgson, Robbie Allen and Leonie Sinclair recently participated in the Shoalhaven Professional Business Association Professional Snapshot which involved local high school students participating in a range of legal related activities. We have proudly supported this program each year since its inception.

Grant Hodgson recently received a certificate for 10 years of service provided to the Law Society Mock Trial Competition. This competition allows high school students to put theory into practice as they use the skills they have developed in their course of study in contextual situations and Grant acts as the magistrate in the various scenarios.

As well as supporting members of the community in relation to the provision of information, Marriott Oliver is heavily involved with other community organisations. Anne Brown is on the executive of the Shoalhaven Business Chamber, is the Chairperson of the Nowra CBD Committee and is on the Committee of the Shoalhaven Professional Business Association. Leonie Sinclair on the Committee of Shoal Coast Community Legal Centre. Jenny Miller is a director of Shoalhaven Heads Bowling & Recreation Club, life member of the Shoalhaven Heads/Berry Soccer Club and has been instrumental in hosting the Football NSW State Titles.
