Lucy has been a practising lawyer for over ten years. Lucy can provide you clear and comprehensive advice and representation in the following area:

  • Family law including property settlement, parenting disputes, binding financial agreements, child support, mediation, collaborative law.
  • Criminal and court matters including apprehended violence orders, traffic offences, defended and sentence hearings.
  • Estate planning including wills, Power of Attorney and Enduring Guardian documents, Advance Care Directives.
  • Civil disputes including debt recovery and fencing disputes.

Lucy’s primary focus is family law as she finds the most rewarding part of the job the interaction with clients and helping them navigate through what can potentially be a very dificult period of their lives. Lucy has expertise in particularly sensitive and challenging issues such as domestic violence and mental health, having undertaken legal training in these areas and having served on the Domestic Violence Practitioner Panel. Lucy also trained to practice Collaborative Law and is keen to help clients negotiate a cost effective outcome in a timely manner.

Lucy has been a practising lawyer for over ten years. Having grown up in the Shoalhaven, Lucy moved away to complete her Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Arts and Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at ANU in Canberra and then returned to the area with five years of experience as a lawyer with the ACT Director of Public Prosecutions and then WA Corruption and Crime Commission. She brought to Marriott Oliver a breadth of experience in litigation and criminal law as well as a thorough understanding of investigation procedure.

Lucy is an active member of the community. She has mentored high school students and role-played a magistrate in the Law Society mock Trial competition. Lucy is a member of the Shoalhaven Law Society, she served as a member of the South Coast Family Law Pathways Network, and is a member of Shoalhaven Young Professionals and the Shaolhaven Professional Business Association.

Lucy is currently on maternity leave and due back July 2016.
