In trouble with the Law? If you find yourself under suspicion or charged
with an offence you immediately need expert advice and advocacy. Grant
Hodgson has worked in the Criminal justice system since 1988 and knows
how to help you though the maze to arrive at the best possible result for
you.
These days in our complex legal system members of the community may find
themselves charged with crimes under a variety of state and federal legislation
as well as the more familiar Crimes Act. For example an increasing number
of people find themselves, usually unwittingly, breaching their obligations
under the Social Security legislation and that may have serious consequences
for them. You as an individual will not know whether you have been charged
with the appropriate offence for your actions, what the penalty may be
if you are found guilty and what is needed to mount a successful defence.
Our advocacy on your behalf can sometimes start as early as accompanying
you to your first interview with the police and ends after the final hearing
if the matter progresses that far. In between times we will advise you
on how to best present your case bearing in mind that you are innocent
until proven guilty and that the prosecution bears the onus of proving
your guilt beyond reasonable doubt. If you decide to plead guilty we will
present to the court the relevant matters to ensure that your side of the
story is very clear to the court so that the sentence may be a lenient
as possible in the circumstances.
Grant Hodgson is a most experienced advocate, confident in the courtroom
and easy to speak with. His defence of his clients is always backed up
by detailed preparation of each individual case and a solid knowledge of
the law. He is available to appear in courts throughout New South Wales
not just locally.
Criminal Law is the one area of law that can have a major impact on an
individual’s liberty and reputation. It is therefore the best advice for
you to get the right advice immediately and not leave the outcome to chance.
